Data Center Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a veteran Infrastructure Professional to provide comprehensive "hands and feet" support for a critical data center environment. This role ensures the physical integrity, connectivity, and continuous operation of all mission-critical assets, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hardware Lifecycle: Perform racking, un-racking, packing, and shipping of Servers, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, and Blade Chassis.
• Infrastructure Maintenance: Manage Labeling, Cabling, and validation of wires; perform power cycling and soft-booting of hardware.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate asset records, manage spare inventory (Fiber cables, connectors), and handle commissioning/decommissioning processes.
• Troubleshooting: Assist Network, Unix, Storage, and Security teams with physical installs and remote maintenance via Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM) migration.
• Facility Oversight: Monitor Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), power generators, and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems.
• Vendor Coordination: Liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for spares and parts procurement.

Essential Skills:

• Expertise in Physical Layer components: cables, connectors, jacks, and fiber optics.
• Deep knowledge of Server and Network Hardware architecture.
• Proficiency in Asset Management Systems and port density/availability tracking.
• Strong understanding of Dual Power Supply configurations and inlet/outlet power loads.
• Advanced communication skills for internal and external customer coordination.

Desirable Skills:

• ITIL Process mastery.
• Strong understanding of Cybersecurity Services and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Experience with 3rd Party Infrastructure Solutions and monitoring tools.
