Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior GitHub Enterprise Platform Architect to lead the design, governance, security, and evolution of our enterprise GitHub platform. This role is responsible for establishing scalable standards, driving platform adoption, implementing security controls, and enabling developer productivity through automation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end GitHub Enterprise platform, including organizational structure, repository governance, standards, and integration architecture.
• Define, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide standards for repository design, configuration, governance, and developer workflows.
• Design and oversee GitHub security and control frameworks, including pipeline security, secrets management, code scanning, and compliance controls.
• Establish remediation strategies and governance processes to ensure timely and systematic resolution of security and control-related issues.
• Develop and enhance reusable workflows, automation frameworks, and GitHub Copilot Agent capabilities to improve developer efficiency and platform consistency.
• Continuously evaluate and improve platform standards, guardrails, integrations, and governance models in alignment with evolving GitHub capabilities and security requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders across engineering, security, and operations teams to drive platform adoption and best practices.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and integrity while fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of recent, hands-on experience designing, architecting, or owning GitHub Enterprise platforms within large-scale organizations.
• Proven experience governing GitHub Enterprise environments and implementing platform standards across multiple teams and business units.
• Strong expertise in DevSecOps practices and secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) design.
• Hands-on experience implementing pipeline-based security controls, secrets management, code scanning, and developer-centric security practices.
• Demonstrated ability to design and enforce platform-level security controls and governance frameworks within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience operating as a strategic platform owner in federated organizational structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop technical standards, executive-level presentations, guidance documentation, and governance materials.

Preferred Skills

• Deep understanding of GitHub Enterprise administration, governance, and platform engineering.
• Experience driving enterprise-wide developer experience initiatives and automation strategies.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot and related developer productivity platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
