Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Java Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and CI/CD automation using Jenkins. This role requires participation throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to deployment, support, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and high-performance Java applications.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Integrate applications with internal and external systems using APIs, messaging, and cloud services.
- Conduct performance tuning, optimization, and application monitoring.
- Implement security best practices, coding standards, and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance application performance and development efficiency.
- Support production deployments and resolve application issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience using Java.
Technical Skills:- Strong experience with Java 8/11/17 and object-oriented design principles.
- Hands-on experience developing microservices using Spring Boot.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and API integration.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC.
- Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Proficiency with Git and source code management practices.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and cloud security principles.
- AWS Certification (Developer Associate, Solutions Architect, or equivalent) is a plus.
