About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Principal Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft .NET, Azure Cloud, Microservices Architecture, Serverless Technologies, and AI-driven solutions. This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys designing enterprise-scale architectures while remaining actively involved in coding, solution implementation, troubleshooting, and mentoring engineering teams.

The ideal candidate combines strategic architectural vision with strong execution capabilities and has a proven track record of building scalable, cloud-native applications on Azure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade cloud-native solutions using .NET and Azure.
  • Define and drive microservices architecture standards, best practices, and governance across multiple product teams.
  • Remain highly hands-on with solution design, coding, proof-of-concepts, code reviews, and production troubleshooting.
  • Design and implement serverless architectures leveraging Azure services such as:
    • Azure API Management (APIM)
    • Azure Functions
    • Azure Logic Apps
    • Azure Event Grid
    • Azure Service Bus
    • Azure Storage
  • Architect and optimize distributed systems with a focus on scalability, resiliency, security, and observability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, security, and DevOps teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
  • Drive cloud modernization and migration initiatives from monolithic applications to microservices and serverless architectures.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities into business solutions, including Generative AI and intelligent automation.
  • Establish CI/CD, DevSecOps, and infrastructure-as-code standards.
  • Mentor architects and senior engineers while providing technical leadership across the organization.
  • Participate in technical strategy, roadmap planning, and technology selection.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in an Architect or Principal Architect role.
  • Deep expertise in:
    • C#
    • .NET Core / .NET 8+
    • ASP.NET Core
    • RESTful APIs
    • Distributed Systems Design
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing microservices-based architectures.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including:
    • Azure API Management (APIM)
    • Azure Functions
    • Azure App Services
    • Azure Service Bus
    • Azure Event Grid
    • Azure Key Vault
    • Azure Storage
    • Azure Monitor / Application Insights
    • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native design patterns, resiliency, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
  • Experience implementing enterprise security standards including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Docker
    • Kubernetes
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps
    • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates)
  • Strong database experience with SQL Server and NoSQL technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI and Generative AI solutions including:
    • Azure AI Services
    • Azure OpenAI
    • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
    • Prompt Engineering
    • AI Agent Architectures
    • Semantic Search and Vector Databases
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
  • Experience building AI-powered copilots, chatbots, and intelligent workflow automation.
  • Azure certifications such as:
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • Azure Developer Associate
    • Azure AI Engineer Associate
  • Experience in highly regulated enterprise environments.
