Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, production-grade ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt (Core or Cloud).
  • Lead technical design discussions and provide architectural guidance for data engineering solutions.
  • Implement dimensional data models using Kimball or Data Vault methodologies.
  • Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
  • Implement incremental and snapshot data processing strategies.
  • Perform performance tuning and cost optimization within Snowflake environments.
  • Integrate orchestration tools to manage and schedule data workflows.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for dbt projects and ensure DevOps best practices.
  • Enforce data quality through automated testing, validation, and observability frameworks.
  • Manage version control using Git and maintain deployment pipelines.
  • Ensure data security and governance within cloud-based data platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an onsite-offshore delivery model.
  • Mentor and guide offshore data engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake cloud data warehousing.
  • Expertise in dbt (Core or Cloud) for ELT development.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and data transformation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling (Kimball/Data Vault).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools and workflow management.
  • Experience in performance tuning and cost optimization in cloud data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms and data security principles.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in distributed teams with onsite-offshore collaboration models.
  • Familiarity with data observability and monitoring tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
