REMOTE OverviewMicrosoft is seeking a highly skilled
Project Manager Tech 3 to support a high-visibility initiative focused on standardizing and documenting the end-to-end product launch process. This role is ideal for a technically strong project manager who thrives in complex environments, enjoys building structure from ambiguity, and is passionate about creating scalable, user-friendly documentation systems.

single source of truth for launch workflows-improving efficiency, reducing errors, and enabling teams across the organization to operate with clarity and consistency.
Purpose of the TeamThis team exists to streamline and strengthen Microsoft's product launch processes by:
- Improving operational efficiency
- Reducing process inconsistencies and errors
- Documenting end-to-end workflows in a standardized, accessible format
- Establishing a unified, authoritative source of truth for launch activities
Key ProjectsIn this role, you will:
- Document the entire launch process from intake to completion
- Create comprehensive, intuitive documentation for complex workflows
- Build and maintain a documentation platform (e.g., Wiki-style environment)
- Consolidate fragmented information into a cohesive, standardized structure
Role ResponsibilitiesProject & Process Management- Oversee the application of project management methodologies across all phases of the project lifecycle
- Develop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope
- Manage project resources, including procuring staff and providing coaching and guidance
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define business requirements
- Lead teams of developers in delivering high-quality software solutions
- Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses and project updates to leadership
- Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are followed
Documentation & Knowledge Management- Set up and manage a platform for process documentation (front-end and/or back-end)
- Convert Word documents into Markdown, upload content, and troubleshoot formatting issues
- Review existing documentation to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and outdated content
- Meet with SMEs to validate processes and gather missing details
- Refine and organize content into standardized templates aligned with industry best practices
- Draft and update process steps, visuals, and guidance to ensure clarity and usability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure documentation reflects the latest process improvements
QualificationsRequired- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- PMP or PMI certification
- 5-7 years of project management experience
- 3+ years of technical documentation experience (Markdown, documentation platforms, version control, metadata tagging)
- Proven experience documenting complex, end-to-end business processes
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in large, multi-platform environments
- Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong people management and team-building skills
- Ability to quickly learn business processes and collaborate with partners at all levels
Preferred- MBA or advanced technical degree
- Experience with process visualization tools (e.g., Visio)
- Background in launch operations, product workflows, or knowledge management
