Job DetailsWhat You'll Do:
- Own plant-level quality systems to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and automotive regulations
- Conduct inspections and testing on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using measurement tools, gauges, and functional tests
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor production performance, identify trends, and prevent defects before they occur
- Lead root cause investigations using structured methodologies (8D, CAPA, fishbone, 5-Why) and drive sustainable corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and quality best practices
- Partner with suppliers on quality performance, audits, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives
- Support customer quality requirements, including issue resolution, documentation, and corrective action responses
- Maintain quality documentation and metrics, including non-conformances, inspection records, control plans, and performance dashboards
- Train and support production teams on quality standards, procedures, and tools to build a strong quality culture on the floor
- Champion safety, compliance, and accountability across all quality-related activities
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality, or related)
- Several years of Quality Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment (required)
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans)
- Experience applying SPC, capability analysis, DOE, and data-driven quality techniques
- Proven ability to solve complex manufacturing problems and drive corrective/preventive actions
- Comfort working cross-functionally in a high-volume, fast-paced plant environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with operators, engineers, suppliers, and customers
- Proficiency with quality and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and Microsoft Office
