Pay Range: $65.00 - $68.00 /hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Hadoop Cluster Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Hadoop clusters across environments
- Perform cluster upgrades, patching, and ongoing maintenance
- Manage HDFS, YARN, and overall cluster health
- Perform capacity planning and resource management
- Big Data Platform Support:
- Provide support for Hadoop ecosystem tools:
- Spark, Hive, HBase, Kafka, Impala
- Monitor and troubleshoot job failures, performance issues, and system bottlenecks
- Analyze logs and optimize system performance
- Security & Access Management:
- Implement and manage Kerberos authentication
- Integrate Hadoop with Active Directory (AD)
- Manage access control using Ranger or similar tools
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies
- Automation & DevOps
- Automate administration tasks using:
- Ansible, Shell scripting
- Support CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins
- Manage version control systems (Git/SVN/Bitbucket)
- System Administration:
- Manage Linux/Unix environments supporting Hadoop clusters
- Perform system-level troubleshooting and service management
- Work with storage, file systems, and infrastructure teams
- Monitoring & Scheduling
- Use monitoring tools to track cluster performance and availability
- Configure alerts and proactive monitoring
- Manage job scheduling and workflow tools
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key skills: - Hadoop, Spark, Impala
- Hadoop & Big Data Strong experience with:
- Hadoop (HDFS, YARN), Spark, Hive, HBase, Kafka, Impala
- Experience with Cloudera Hadoop Distribution, Administration & Troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of: Cluster setup, configuration, and tuning YARN resource management and debugging Log analysis and performance troubleshooting Security
- Strong experience in: Linux/Unix Shell scripting Python / Java / Perl (basic scripting level)
- Database knowledge: SQL, Oracle / SQL Server / Sybase
