Job Title: Cybersecurity Compliance & Risk Analyst
Role Overview
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Compliance & Risk Analyst to join our team in an intermediate-level capacity. In this role, you will perform deep-dive research, analyze information security data, and translate technical security requirements into actionable business processes. You will serve as a key bridge between technical security teams and our business stakeholders, ensuring our processes remain efficient, compliant, and aligned with industry standards.
This is a perfect role for an analyst looking to build their career by taking ownership of security policy and process design. You will facilitate assurance engagements, identify gaps in current capabilities, and help design the "next generation" of our information security workflows. If you have a passion for structured problem-solving and enjoy presenting data-driven recommendations to management, this is an excellent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Analysis & Process Design
Security Research: Perform complex analysis of business issues and security data using established methodology. Identify gaps in current security capabilities and recommend business process improvements.
Process Engineering: Design and elaborate on new security business processes. Audit existing workflows to ensure they meet internal standards, policies, and external risk-compliance regulations.
Collaboration & Consulting: Provide guidance to clients, colleagues, and management. Participate in cross-functional teams to address policy, risk, or compliance initiatives and present your outcomes in written and verbal formats to senior leadership.
Assurance & Reporting
Assurance Facilitation: Facilitate assurance engagements and internal/external assessments. Act as the primary point of contact for information requests and control validation.
Data-Driven Insights: Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to assist in solving security issues. Translate complex security topics into clear, understandable language for non-technical business partners.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to monitoring and current security practices, ensuring the organization stays ahead of emerging risks.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience Baseline: 3-5+ years of relevant experience in information security, risk, or compliance.
Analytical Aptitude: Strong ability to assess business issues and map them to security processes.
Assurance Experience: Strong preference for candidates with experience facilitating assurance engagements or managing framework-based audits.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills. You must be able to tailor your messaging to different audiences, from engineering teams to senior management.
Preferred Attributes
A natural "problem-solver" who prefers established methodologies but has the creativity to improve them.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and handle "linked" projects that touch multiple departments.
Proactive mindset: You identify risks before they become inquiries and propose solutions before they are requested.
