Summary
The MFG Systems Analyst will provide day-to-day systems support including plant and distribution center inventory control, warehouse management, product labeling, support of MES system, and other manufacturing systems components as they relate to processing plant operations, control and supply chain management systems. Supporting data analytics and reporting will design, develops, and optimizes the reporting solutions that lead to operational decision-making. Responsibilities include documentation, problem resolution, and specialized user support, software/hardware testing and change control will be completed to minimize/eliminate adverse impact of system changes to overall supply chain infrastructure. Collaborate with the applications, infrastructure, and telecommunications support teams in change and version management and problem resolution. Enforce Corporate Manufacturing Systems policy, procedures and best practices.

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Technology or Business Management or related work experience.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Data analysis. Develop and optimize reporting solutions by developing dashboards using SSRS/Power BI reports. Convert reports from paper/Crystal format to SSRS/Power BI to improve performance and readability.
- Maintain and ensure data integrity by debugging, refreshing, validating and reconciling data sources to deliver accurate, consistent and realiable reporting.
- Codes, tests, configure and documents programs and systems from detailed specifications using the systems development methodology (SDM) and structured programming practices to produce reliable programs.
- Provides support for all information and manufacturing system operations activities (multi-shift), including computer and network operations, troubleshooting, data control/security, documentation, software version control, change control, security, backup/recovery and system performance.
- Demonstrates skills necessary to support all supply chain applications, process control, scaling/labeling, desk top computing and network.
- Responsible for activities associated with the problem identification, prioritization, and resolution of reported computer system problems. Monitors and responds to technical hardware and software problems.
- Codes, tests, configure and documents programs and systems from detailed specifications using the systems development methodology (SDM) and structured programming practices to produce reliable programs.
- Works as a team member in the development, enhancement and support of applications that meet or exceed customer requirements.
Minimum Education
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Technology or Business Management or related work experience.
Experience Requirements
- 2 years' experience in IT Support or a similar role.
- Experience or education in microprocessor-based equipment, Microsoft product knowledge on Server and Desktop Operating Systems, Voice/Data, Network Administration (Microsoft), Database Administration and Unix or Linux operating systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - including strong phone skills - are essential for effectively interacting with users, understanding their needs, and providing assistance in a professional and courteous manner.
- Effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Work hours may be adjusted to accommodate support requirements. Requires on call time for non-scheduled work hours.

Experience Preferred
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Technology, Engineering or Business Management or related discipline.
- Additional experience in manufacturing systems such as ComputerWay Food Systems, OSSID, Marel or Kronos Time and Attendance.
- Project management experience and/or education.
- Combining traditional data analytics with AI, using machine learning, Python or SQL.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Work hours may be adjusted to accommodate support requirements and may require on call time for non-scheduled work hours.
- Positions at ASC and Corporate are mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings, or support in facilities when they are deployed to a site. Positions in plants involve moving throughout the plants, feedmills, hatcheries and other facilities as needed to deploy, monitor, and support manufacturing systems equipment.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
- When in a plant environment:
- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
