Role summary:

The Senior Software Engineer will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives. This role involves analyzing requirements, creating detailed designs, and producing high-quality, testable code while ensuring security and performance standards. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, implement automation, and support continuous integration and delivery processes. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in software architecture, coding standards, and troubleshooting, contributing to the advancement of innovative applications that meet evolving customer and organizational needs.
About the team:

The Fusion-Cost team focuses on cost management and data analytics to support business objectives. This group collaborates to design and implement scalable software solutions using agile practices. Team members contribute through requirement analysis, solution design, coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring alignment with technical and business needs. Emphasizing expertise, innovation, and clear communication, the team delivers high-quality, maintainable applications. By leveraging skills in software development, data engineering, and API integration, the team drives continuous improvement and impactful results within the Walmart Group of Companies.
What you'll do:
  • Analyze and classify requirements to align solutions with business and technical needs.
  • Design scalable, maintainable software components adhering to architecture and quality standards.
  • Develop and configure code using appropriate languages and tools, ensuring security and performance.
  • Create and execute test cases to validate functionality and identify defects.
  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability.
  • Automate processes within CI/CD pipelines to enhance development efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:

  • Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in Java, SQL, NoSQL, and API design.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Expertise in solution design, including software architecture, scalability, and disaster recovery.
  • Ability to analyze and classify requirements, including functional and non-functional aspects.
  • Skilled in coding standards, secure development, and automation scripting for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with testing strategies, defect management, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and software quality assurance tools.
  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate cross-functionally and deliver maintainable, high-quality software solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
