The pay range is $88,000.00 - $158,000.00

First Mile Transportation Team within OI currently uses a wide variety of analytics tools including SQL, Python, R and visualization tools to work with small, sparse datasets as well as larger data platforms. This
Lead Data Analyst will guide a team of Senior Data Analysts and Data Analysts to support international first-mile transportation. This person will be responsible for establishing and implementing technical strategies for the team, fostering a learning and inclusive culture to elevate the analysts, and connecting with stakeholders to build solutions beyond the stated needs.
Responsibilities: - Establish and implement technical strategies, for example, designing code review standards and routines, hosting team standups, and influencing the engineering team.
- Foster a learning and inclusive culture to elevate the analysts, for example, inspire others to continuously improve and drive progress over perfection, innovates solutions and techniques to elevate existing best practices and teach others how to do so, identify opportunities to exploit problem-solving frameworks and lead teams through the use of them
- Seek diverse voices, show authenticity and practice vulnerability with other team members
- Work with ambiguity and provide clear directions to analysts and stakeholders
- Connect with stakeholders, build a deep understanding of business outcomes and stakeholder responsibilities to identify unstated business needs and deliver both prescriptive and proactive solutions
- Collaborate and builds a strong network beyond the immediate team to align on priorities and drive consistency
- Execute a variety of analytics initiatives including; metric identification, reason coding, hypothesis testing, time series analysis, cluster analysis, root cause analysis, scale of impact quantification, predictive analysis, business process improvement, or scenario analysis.

About You: - 4-year degree (or equivalent experience) in business analytics, supply chain, economics or related field.
- Advanced SQL skills, can teach others and be a technical mentor
- 6+ years as a Data Analyst with strong academic performance in a quantitative field; or strong equivalent experience
- Strong problem-solving skills, can work with ambiguity and lead the team through it
- Exceptional communication skills, can hold crucial conversations
- Demonstrated leadership skills, fostering an inclusive culture where all team members can excel
- Champion of inclusivity, connection, and drive
- Passionate about developing talent as well as empowering businesses with data; proven track record of guiding a diverse team and delivering results
- Preferred to be proficient with one or more scripting languages for data analysis (R or Python).
- Preferred to be familiar with GenAI tools and how to maximize impact for stakeholders
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
