Senior PeopleSoft Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior PeopleSoft Developer to design, develop, customize, integrate, and support PeopleSoft applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker, and PeopleSoft development methodologies. This role will work closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain PeopleSoft applications based on business requirements.
• Develop and maintain PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, SQR, and PeopleSoft queries.
• Develop and support PeopleSoft integrations using Integration Broker, REST/SOAP web services, APIs, and messaging.
• Analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
• Perform application enhancements, production support, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
• Develop and maintain PeopleSoft Components, Pages, Records, Fields, Menus, and Security objects.
• Design and optimize SQL queries, PeopleSoft processes, and database interactions for performance.
• Work with PeopleTools to configure and customize PeopleSoft applications.
• Participate in system upgrades, patches, migrations, and PeopleSoft environment management.
• Develop technical design documents, unit test plans, deployment documentation, and support documentation.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, QA teams, database administrators, and infrastructure teams.
• Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent solutions.
• Support data conversion, interfaces, reports, and batch processing requirements.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the development team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in PeopleSoft development or a related technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with PeopleTools and PeopleCode.
• Experience with Application Engine, Component Interface, SQR, and Application Designer.
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Integration Broker and web services.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience with PeopleSoft modules such as HCM, Financials/Supply Chain, Campus Solutions, or other PeopleSoft applications.
• Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, customizations, patches, and production support.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle and change-management processes.
• Experience with source control and deployment tools/processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid UI and modern PeopleTools versions.
• Experience developing and consuming REST and SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of Integration Broker, REST-based integrations, and JSON/XML.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and automated deployment practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• PeopleSoft certification is a plus.
