Develop project cost estimates and manage projects in various work order systems. Work with various departments and external consultants to coordinate project design and delivery priorities. Support the new business sales group and various operations departments, including field support, with technical and project management assistance during new business facility installations.

*This position is on-site 5 days a week in the office.*

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design natural gas facilities including mains, services, metering, and pressure regulator stations for business development projects including conversions and new construction. Research internal records and assess system conditions via ESRI, Smallworld, and Synergee systems to ensure natural gas facilities are properly designed. Complete main extension designs and prepare drawing packages for field crews to install the main projects, in partnership with engineering design consultants, as necessary.
  • Develop business development project cost estimates utilizing Design Manager/DOJM and other work order systems, combined with the Annual Pipeline Contract, to cost-effectively specify design parameters and to select contractors, and/or create bid packages. Provide estimate inputs to project profitability review and approvals completed by the Sales group.
  • Manage business development projects in various work order systems while coordinating workload priorities within the New Business Sales and Operations groups. Manage project manpower requirements, materials procurement, and permit application regarding the design and implementation of the project. Monitor projects for actual installation costs, and cost containment, versus estimated design costs using Oracle, change orders, and post-construction debriefing with Operations to determine project cost variances.
  • Prepare business development project job completion packages for Central Maps & Records and Accounting Departments (including graphical completion in Design Manager, financial close-out in DOJM, completed job orders, and checklists) in a timely manner.
