ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a senior level Infoblox contractor to lead an enterprise wide DNS, DHCP, and IPAM migration in a live production environment. This role owns the migration end to end and plays a critical role in ensuring business continuity across hundreds of locations with zero tolerance for downtime.
The contractor will execute hands on technical work while also serving as a leader and mentor, stabilizing the environment, solving complex network challenges, and transferring knowledge to the internal team to ensure long term success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the full lifecycle enterprise Infoblox migration from planning through execution and stabilization
• Execute DNS, DHCP, and IPAM migrations in a live production environment with zero downtime
• Perform detailed DHCP scope cutovers, optimizations, and configuration changes
• Troubleshoot DHCP scope exhaustion and transition issues
• Resolve DNS resolution, routing, and connectivity issues across stores and VLANs
• Support migration across approximately 280 retail locations and multiple VLANs
• Ensure no impact to sales or business operations during migration activities
• Document configurations, processes, and operational standards
• Provide hands on training, shadowing, and knowledge transfer to the internal engineering team
KEY REQUIREMENTS
• 7 plus years of network engineering experience with proven leadership of enterprise Infoblox migrations
• Deep hands on expertise in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM within Infoblox environments
• Demonstrated experience with zero downtime migrations in live production networks
• Background supporting complex, multi site or distributed network environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills across DHCP cutovers, DNS failures, routing issues, and VLAN connectivity
• Experience with both brownfield and greenfield network implementations
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and mentor engineering teams
• Organized, documentation focused, and comfortable operating in high visibility environments
ENGAGEMENT DETAILS
• Location Atlanta, GA with hybrid schedule requiring two days onsite
• Duration Approximately six months with potential to shorten for highly experienced candidates
• Engagement Contract with potential to convert
