IT Technical Support Specialist

Objectives of the Role

• Maintain essential IT operations including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, and hardware

• Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvements

• Enable faster, smarter business processes and improve employee productivity

• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software

• Serve as the subject-matter expert for Windows and widely used applications such as Microsoft and Adobe

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phones

• Analyze staff needs, identify vulnerabilities, and improve system efficiency

• Execute system and network design, documentation, implementation, testing, and administration

• Implement application and software upgrades and troubleshoot performance issues

• Train employees on software and hardware usage and provide ongoing technical support

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Office 365, VPN, Adobe, McAfee, LogMeIn, encryption tools

• Ability to troubleshoot computer peripherals (printers, scanners, monitors, keyboards, mice, etc.)

• Hands-on experience supporting end-user devices (desktops, laptops, Surface Pros)

• Experience working in an Active Directory domain environment

• Proficient in software installation and troubleshooting

• Basic networking knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot network issues via command line
