Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Epic Infrastructure Coordinator to coordinate and support Epic infrastructure readiness, workstation validation, technical dress rehearsals, and deployment activities within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Epic implementations, hospital IT infrastructure, endpoint devices, and large-scale technology deployments.
This role will coordinate with infrastructure teams, Epic application teams, clinical stakeholders, technical support teams, and project leadership to ensure that workstations, peripherals, endpoint configurations, and supporting technologies are ready for Epic implementations, upgrades, and go-live activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Epic infrastructure readiness activities, including workstation preparation, configuration, validation, and deployment.
- Support Epic Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR) activities by validating workstation functionality, application access, and end-user readiness.
- Coordinate technical deployment activities across clinical and non-clinical departments to minimize disruption to hospital operations.
- Validate endpoint configurations, including operating system readiness, peripherals, application access, and secure authentication workflows.
- Collaborate with Epic application teams, infrastructure teams, desktop support, networking, and clinical operations to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Support Epic workstation configuration and testing activities, including Kuiper workstation configuration, LWS record building, and application-specific validation workflows, where applicable.
- Coordinate hardware and software rollouts, workstation imaging, operating system upgrades, and endpoint configuration activities.
- Troubleshoot workstation, connectivity, application access, and device performance issues and coordinate escalations as needed.
- Work with endpoint management and virtualization tools such as IGEL Console, Citrix, VMware, ControlUp, and Imprivata.
- Track deployment progress, infrastructure readiness, outstanding issues, risks, and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, technical procedures, test plans, readiness checklists, and status reports.
- Coordinate with project managers and technical leads to monitor milestones, resource assignments, and deployment schedules.
- Support Epic implementation, upgrade, stabilization, and go-live readiness activities.
- Ensure infrastructure activities align with organizational security policies, healthcare IT standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and coordination to field technicians and deployment teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience coordinating IT infrastructure activities in a hospital or healthcare IT environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting Epic implementations, technical dress rehearsals, workstation validation, or Epic deployment projects.
- Strong knowledge of desktop and endpoint support, workstation configuration, imaging, hardware deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Familiarity with endpoint management, virtualization, and secure authentication technologies.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and resolving technical issues during large-scale IT deployments.
- Strong documentation, communication, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, track project deliverables, and support time-sensitive implementation milestones.
- Experience working with IT service management and incident tracking tools such as ServiceNow.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Epic Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR), go-live, or clinical workstation readiness initiatives.
- Familiarity with Epic workstation configuration, Kuiper, LWS records, and Epic Text mode.
- Experience with IGEL, Citrix, VMware, ControlUp, and Imprivata.
- Experience supporting hospital-wide endpoint refreshes, operating system migrations, and large-scale hardware deployments.
- CompTIA A+ or other relevant IT infrastructure certifications.
- Previous experience leading desktop support, technical deployment, or infrastructure coordination teams.
