Business Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with 3+ years of experience in gathering business requirements, analyzing processes, and supporting the delivery of technology solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT or business transformation projects.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Proficiency in creating:
  • Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
  • Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Process Flow Diagrams and Use Cases
• Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments.
• Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in government, healthcare, financial services, or insurance domains.
• Knowledge of SQL for basic data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with reporting and dashboard tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of business process modeling and workflow automation.
• CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for development teams.
• Create user stories, process flows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate requirement review sessions and stakeholder meetings.
• Support testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle and manage change requests.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA teams, and business users to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
