- Design, mentor, and oversee engineering for systems including HVAC, industrial ventilation, plumbing, energy distribution (e.g. condenser water, chilled water, hot water, steam, compressed air), industrial / oily waste, and process fluid distribution for manufacturing and industrial facilities.
- Apply expert knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and best practices to complex and technically demanding projects.
- Develop practical and innovative design solutions to address unique project constraints and operational requirements.
- Prepare mechanical equipment specifications, packaged equipment data sheets, RFQs, technical bid evaluations, and purchase recommendations.
- Review vendor submittals and drawings to verify compliance with design intent and project requirements.
- Coordinate technical interfaces between vendors, clients, construction teams, and internal engineering disciplines.
- Support development of project scope, schedules, staffing plans, and cost estimates.
- Assist with construction planning, constructability reviews, and resolution of field-related design issues.
- Support change management through technical evaluations, documentation, and coordination with project teams.
- Participate in field inspections, testing, measurements, and system commissioning activities as required.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of mechanical drawings, calculations, and project documentation.
- Ensure adherence to company QA/QC processes, design standards, and engineering procedures.
- Coordinate closely with other disciplines to maintain design integration and technical consistency.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Support proposal development, including preparation of cost estimates, technical narratives, and qualification statements.
- Participate in sales and marketing efforts and identify opportunities to support continued client engagement.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to less-experienced engineers and designers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of mechanical engineering practices, tools, and standards.
- Comply with all company, client, and site safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and client standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
