Job Summary:
In this critical role, you will focus on improving manufacturing processes and optimizing production efficiency in a metals processing environment. You will leverage your engineering expertise to develop solutions that enhance productivity while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your insights and technical knowledge will be crucial in driving innovation and maintaining our reputation for quality.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements.
- Utilize CAD software to develop schematics and documentation for process modifications.
- Support the implementation of PLC systems and process automation.
- Conduct process validation and ensure adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and effective outcomes.
- Develop detailed reports and documentation for all engineering activities.
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing teams on process improvements.
- Monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of process engineering experience in a metals manufacturing environment or 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software; experience with SolidWorks is preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Knowledge of and experience with PLC systems and manufacturing processes such as casting, rolling, and finishing technology.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
