Senior Power BI Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer with strong expertise in business intelligence, data warehousing, data modeling, and database technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing interactive dashboards, optimizing reports, designing data models, and building efficient data solutions using Power BI, DAX, SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Oracle.

The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions, support production environments, and translate business requirements into actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Design and implement data models using DAX and Power BI.
• Optimize SQL queries and complex calculations for performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Work with Azure Synapse Analytics for data warehousing solutions.
• Manage and optimize ETL processes, stored procedures, and data integration.
• Ensure data quality through data cleaning, profiling, and validation.
• Implement database security, access controls, and data governance practices.
• Tune and optimize Power BI report and dashboard performance.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare technical documentation and deliver end-user training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in BI development, data analytics, or related technologies.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard and report development.
• 5+ years of experience writing and optimizing DAX calculations and measures.
• 6+ years of experience with SQL, including complex queries and data analysis.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• 4+ years of experience working with Oracle databases.
• Hands-on experience with database design, data modeling, and data warehousing (DWH).
• Strong experience with ETL processes, stored procedures, and data integration.
• Experience with data cleaning, data profiling, and data quality validation.
• Knowledge of database security, access controls, and data governance.
• Experience with Power BI report and dashboard performance tuning and optimization.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide production support.
• Experience preparing technical documentation, delivering end-user training, and collaborating with business and technical teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with other BI tools and technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in a fast-paced, agile development environment.

Work Location and Interview Requirements:

• Candidates must work onsite in Raleigh, NC, 3 days per week.
• A face-to-face interview is mandatory.
• Candidates must be local to Raleigh, NC, or willing and able to relocate.
• Local candidates are strongly preferred.
