Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Mobile Engineer with strong experience in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to build and scale proximity-based mobile applications. You will design and implement BLE-driven features such as indoor positioning, real-time event triggering, and location-aware user experiences.

The role involves working with native (Android/iOS) and cross-platform (React Native) technologies, integrating BLE SDKs, and building robust background processing systems while ensuring performance, reliability, and battery efficiency.

You will collaborate closely with backend, data, and product teams to create seamless, real-time, location-aware mobile experiences.

We are looking for experience in the BLE layer itself as a protocol
Most folks with BLE Experience on their resume have done simple SDK integrations that use BLE, we want someone who has touched the actual BLE layer itself in some way - this mean hardware
We need recent ownership of a production SDK as a product.. not as an app feature

Must-Have Skills:

Strong experience in Android and/or iOS development and/or React Native
Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and beacon technologies
Experience with BLE scanning, advertising, and proximity detection (RSSI)
Familiarity with platform-specific APIs (CoreBluetooth, BluetoothLeScanner)
Experience with background processing and OS-level limitations
Strong understanding of mobile architecture and SDK integration
Knowledge of signal processing, filtering, and performance optimization
Experience handling permissions, privacy, and security for Bluetooth/location
Familiarity with real-time event systems and analytics integration
