Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced ADMS Technology Engineer to support the implementation, integration, deployment, troubleshooting, and operational support of Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) within a utility grid operations environment. This role will be responsible for supporting the full technology lifecycle of ADMS platforms including system configuration, infrastructure support, enterprise integrations, deployments, upgrades, troubleshooting, and ongoing operational maintenance. The engineer will work closely with System Operators, Product Managers, Infrastructure Teams, Cybersecurity Teams, Vendors, and Utility Operations stakeholders to ensure reliable and secure system performance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting utility operational technologies including SCADA, OMS, DMS, GIS integrations, ICCP, historian interfaces, virtualization platforms, and enterprise utility environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyse operational requirements, business workflows, and technical specifications to support ADMS solution design and implementation.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and support ADMS applications, interfaces, subsystems, and integrated utility platforms.
  • Troubleshoot escalated production and operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor system performance, application health, and operational alerts to ensure system reliability and availability.
  • Support deployments, upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and defect resolutions across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Perform log analysis, trace reviews, configuration validation, and system diagnostics to isolate and resolve technical issues.
  • Support integrations between ADMS and utility systems including SCADA, OMS, DMS, GIS, ICCP, Historian, and enterprise interfaces.
  • Perform workstation and server support activities across Windows and Linux environments.
  • Support VMware vCenter and virtualized infrastructure environments for provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance activities.
  • Interpret and work with network topology diagrams, IP/LAN schemas, firewall configuration documents, and server architecture diagrams.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, troubleshooting guides, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in peer reviews of technical designs, configurations, deployment plans, and implementation artifacts.
  • Develop operational dashboards and analytical reporting using tools such as Power BI.
  • Collaborate with operators, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to support operational readiness and system stability.
 
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience supporting ADMS, SCADA, DMS, OMS, or utility operational technology environments.
  • Strong understanding of electric utility distribution systems and grid operations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise utility platforms and integrated operational systems.
  • Hands-on experience with ADMS technologies such as Eaton, GE, Siemens, Schneider, OSI, Survalent, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience with utility integrations including GIS, ICCP, Historian, OMS, SCADA, and enterprise interfaces.
  • Experience troubleshooting distributed applications and infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, server environments, and enterprise integrations.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments.
  • Experience working with VMware vCenter or similar virtualization platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze logs, traces, alerts, and system configurations to identify and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and operational teams.
  • Experience in electric utility, smart grid, energy, or critical infrastructure environments is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, operational reporting, and infrastructure monitoring tools is a plus.
