Summary

Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) is seeking a BMC Remedy ITSM Systems Engineer to configure, secure, and maintain an enterprise ITSM platform supporting government operations. This role supports AR System, Smart IT, Digital Workplace, Atrium CMDB, and reporting, ensuring platform reliability, performance, and security compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and customize BMC Remedy AR System 9.1 and associated ITSM modules.
  • Lead upgrades, patches, migrations, and platform improvements.
  • Maintain Smart IT, Digital Workplace, and CMDB data quality.
  • Develop workflows and integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and AR System tools.
  • Automate tasks and deployments using Python and/or PowerShell.
  • Support RMF/ATO requirements, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide Tier 3 support.
  • Maintain technical documentation, recovery procedures, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders and technical teams to support ITIL-aligned services.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five or more years of enterprise systems engineering or application administration experience.
  • Three or more years administering and customizing BMC Remedy AR System 9.1.
  • Experience with AR workflows, mid tier administration, and major-version upgrades or migrations.
  • Strong CMDB modeling, reconciliation, and discovery integration experience.
  • Python and/or PowerShell scripting experience.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle/SQL Server, Windows/Linux, and Tomcat/Apache.
  • Understanding of ITIL, service-level agreements, and service catalogs.
  • Active Secret-level security clearance (or higher) is required to apply.
  • IAT Level II certification: Requires both an IA Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, or higher) *AND* an Operating Environment (OE) Certification (e.g., Windows OS certification, Relevant BMC/Remedy Certifcation, etc.) for CSWF compliance.
  • Availability for required on-site support and OCONUS travel; trips are generally planned at least three months in advance.
  • Ability to work 100% on-site at NIWC Pacific Old Town Campus in San Diego, CA, and support required OCONUS travel.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Helix Discovery/ADDM, TrueSight, or BladeLogic.
  • Integrations with ServiceNow, Splunk, Dynatrace, Elastic, or Sentinel.
  • Performance tuning, capacity planning, and DoD/RMF/STIG experience.
  • BMC Remedy Administrator, ITIL Foundation, CASP+, CISSP, or SSCP certification.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $120,000 to $155,000 (annually).
