Job Description

·        We are seeking a NAND Test Lab Operations Support Technician to provide day-to-day operational and technical support for semiconductor memory test lab equipment and associated tooling. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of NAND test equipment, supporting material processing, equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and data collection.

·        The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Advantest and Teradyne semiconductor test systems, automated handlers, interface hardware, temperature-controlled testing, tester diagnostics, and preventative maintenance. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to safety and operational detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced semiconductor lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Provide day-to-day operational support across assigned NAND/semiconductor test lab equipment and tool sets.

·        Follow all applicable lab safety procedures, including chemical and hazardous-material handling requirements.

·        Participate in routine safety audits and ensure compliance with site, local, and state safety requirements.

·        Operate Advantest M67xxAD automated handlers and Advantest tester systems.

·        Operate Teradyne Nextest Magnum tester systems within Windows and tester user-interface environments.

·        Set up tester and handler interface hardware for automated processing at required temperatures.

·        Install and configure Change Kits and Device Specific Adapters (DSAs) based on device and test requirements.

·        Troubleshoot Advantest handler pick-and-place errors independently to maintain material flow.

·        Execute tester diagnostics and troubleshoot failures down to the board level.

·        Perform tester voltage and timing calibration in accordance with OEM specifications.

·        Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and thermal calibration activities.

·        Operate and troubleshoot tester chiller systems, including facility process chilled-water systems.

·        Monitor and report equipment performance using Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) metrics.

·        Ensure timely material processing and accurate data collection to support product development schedules.

·        Maintain ownership of test equipment and measurement tooling against PM and calibration schedules.

·        Track interface hardware using inventory management systems.

·        Troubleshoot and resolve standard and non-standard hardware and software issues.

·        Create technical documentation, including process flowcharts, troubleshooting procedures, and step-by-step work instructions.

·        Provide training and technical guidance to test development users on equipment and tooling.

·        Support lab workflow systems for material movement from incoming through outgoing stages.

·        Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment uptime, process efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.

·        Support management and finance teams with lab material forecasting and cost-reduction initiatives.

·        Maintain accurate equipment, tooling, material, calibration, and operational records.

·        Work collaboratively with engineering, test development, operations, management, and OEM teams.

Required Qualifications:

·        Hands-on experience supporting semiconductor test lab operations or semiconductor manufacturing/test environments.

·        Experience operating and troubleshooting Advantest semiconductor test equipment.

·        Experience with Advantest M67xx-series automated handlers.

·        Experience with Teradyne Nextest Magnum testers or comparable semiconductor memory test systems.

·        Understanding of semiconductor memory tester architecture and tester hardware configurations.

·        Hands-on experience with tester diagnostics, calibration, and hardware troubleshooting.

·        Experience with handler setup, Change Kits, Device Specific Adapters (DSAs), and interface hardware.

·        Ability to troubleshoot handler pick-and-place problems with minimal supervision.

·        Experience performing preventative maintenance and thermal calibration.

·        Experience with voltage and timing calibration according to OEM specifications.

·        Knowledge of tester chiller and process chilled-water systems.

·        Understanding of Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) metrics and equipment performance reporting.

·        Strong understanding of laboratory safety procedures and hazardochemical material handling.

·        Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

·        Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

·        Ability to work independently, take ownership, and make timely operational decisions.

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Experience supporting NAND, DRAM, Flash, or other semiconductor memory testing.

·        Experience with additional Advantest platforms such as B6700, V93K, and T5835.

·        Experience with legacy Advantest M67xx-series handlers.

·        Experience working directly with semiconductor OEM equipment vendors.

·        Experience with semiconductor product development or engineering labs.

·        Knowledge of test interface hardware, load boards, sockets, adapters, and device-specific tooling.

·        Experience with equipment inventory and laboratory workflow management systems.

·        Experience developing equipment troubleshooting guides, process flowcharts, and work instructions.

·        Experience with equipment performance metrics, utilization, downtime, and RAM reporting.

·        Experience supporting cost reduction and continuous improvement programs.

·        Ability to train engineers and test-development personnel on semiconductor test equipment.

·        Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Semiconductor Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field is preferred.
