SAP ABAP Developer – S/4HANA & RAP -W2 Contract

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA RAP Technical Developer with extensive hands-on experience in S/4HANA implementations, RAP, ABAP, and brownfield conversions. The ideal candidate will bring strong architectural expertise, deep understanding of clean-core principles, and the ability to modernize legacy ECC systems into scalable, cloud-ready S/4HANA solutions.

Overall SAP experience required: 15+ years.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in a multi-year, multi-phase transformation from SAP ECC (on-prem) to SAP S/4HANA (on-prem).

• Adapt and remediate custom ABAP code to align with S/4HANA simplified data models.

• Re-engineer custom developments following clean-core and cloud-ready (strict) ABAP principles.

• Design and develop solutions using RAP, CDS Views, and AMDP.

• Support brownfield conversions using tools such as ATC and SCMON.

• Enable side-by-side extensibility on SAP BTP where architectural or scalability benefits apply.

• Collaborate with functional teams to perform fit-gap analysis and deliver end-to-end technical solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 15+ years of SAP ABAP development experience (ECC).

• 7+ years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA development experience.

• Exposure to cloud-based architectures and modern SAP development paradigms.

Technical Core Requirements

• Strong expertise in ABAP (ECC & S/4HANA) with hands-on experience in RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model).

• Advanced knowledge of CDS Views, OData services, and performance-optimized data models.

• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development and integration.

• Solid understanding of S/4HANA architecture and clean-core strategy.

• SAP BTP experience is a strong plus.

• Ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical designs and own delivery from design through implementation.
