Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role involves working with structured and unstructured data, enabling data ingestion, transformation, and delivery to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure services
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data ingestion and transformation
Implement data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks
Manage data storage solutions such as Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Azure SQL Database
Optimize SQL queries, data models, and performance tuning for analytical workloads
Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance standards are met
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience with Azure Data Engineering services
Hands-on expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (Dedicated & Serverless SQL pools)
Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning
Experience with Azure Databricks and Spark (PySpark/Scala preferred)
Strong knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
Experience in data modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
Programming skills in Python
Understanding of data warehousing and big data concepts
Experience with source control and CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Git)
Preferred Skills
Microsoft DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer Associate) certification
Experience with Power BI integration
Knowledge of streaming data (Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics)
Exposure to Delta Lake, Parquet, ORC formats
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Knowledge of security features such as RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault
Education
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Experience Level
5+ years in data engineering or analytics
3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services
