The Opportunity:

As an AI software engineer, you know that good software is more than just a nice-looking interface and data. Booz Allen is the leading provider of AI services to the nation-we're looking for a software engineer like you to create artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that help solve industry and clients' toughest problems.

On our team, you'll help create and implement complete end-to-end solutions that modernize client systems. You'll ensure that your team's solutions consider the broader ecosystem and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. We are looking for a developer with the skills needed to build an application from vision to a production-ready system. This role is more than just coding. We need a full-stack developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify and implement system improvements. Using the Software Development Life Cycle, you will build modern-day technical solutions with favorable technologies, including Java, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Postgres, SQL, Linux, and COTS and GOTS software frameworks. You can analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you are developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You'll work closely with your client to understand their questions and needs, then collaborate with subject matter experts and an elite group of fellow engineers to deliver impactful solutions to the client.

You Have:
  • 1+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods in academic or internship environments
  • 1+ years of experience with software development with programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks, such as Python or Scala in academic or internship environments
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, API development, and PostgreSQL databases
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks, including React, Angular, or Node.js
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning models
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Spring or Summer 2026


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with the administration of continuous integration or continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Kubernetes, Docker, or Jenkins
  • Knowledge of acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
  • Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
