Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $75.00hr - $80.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 9+ years of experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale application and integration solutions.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within banking or financial services environments.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles, distributed systems, microservices, service-oriented architecture (SOA), event-driven architecture, and integration design patterns.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale business applications supporting complex workflows and regulatory processes.
  • Strong expertise in RESTful APIs, enterprise integration frameworks, messaging platforms, middleware technologies, and API management solutions.
  • Experience designing solutions leveraging cloud platforms such as Azure, including cloud-native application services.
  • Hands-on experience with modern development technologies including Java, Python, Angular, React, Spring Boot, .NET Core, Shell Scripting, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of application security, identity and access management, encryption, data privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements within financial services.
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, data integration platforms, and enterprise data management practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and convey complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience integrating applications across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Assurance, or Regulatory ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of workflow automation, case management, document management, regulatory reporting, and governance platforms.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises architectures commonly found in highly regulated financial institutions.
  • Prior experience leading architecture initiatives, technology transformation programs, or enterprise platform implementations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient application architectures for the platform and related technology solutions.
  • Define end-to-end solution architectures spanning application, integration, data, security, and infrastructure domains.
  • Translate business requirements into enterprise-scale technical solutions that align with strategic technology objectives.
  • Create and present reference architectures, solution designs, integration strategies, and technology roadmaps to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead architecture discovery sessions with business and technology teams to understand challenges and define optimal solutions.
  • Design and govern API-first and event-driven integration patterns connecting the hub with internal and external enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to establish development standards, architectural best practices, reusable frameworks, and design patterns.
  • Evaluate existing platforms and drive modernization initiatives leveraging cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern engineering practices.
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, scalability, performance, resiliency, observability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Data, and Product teams to ensure alignment with firm-wide standards.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Guide engineering teams through implementation approaches and address complex technical challenges.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, application architecture trends, integration patterns, and financial services industry developments.

Nice to Have:

  • Relevant architecture and cloud certifications.
  • Experience architecting enterprise workflow and case management solutions.
  • Experience with API Management platforms such as Apigee, Kong, Azure API Management, or MuleSoft.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Experience working with Assurance, Legal, Compliance, Audit, or Regulatory functions.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
