About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (ServiceNow) to own and evolve the enterprise CMDB and configuration management ecosystem. This role combines platform engineering, infrastructure knowledge, and ITSM best practices to ensure accurate system visibility, dependency mapping, and operational excellence across a complex, high-security environment.

What You’ll Do

• Engineer and manage the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and governance
• Define CI models, relationships, and naming standards across infrastructure and applications
• Integrate ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping with enterprise systems
• Automate data ingestion, reconciliation, and validation across multiple sources
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and network teams to improve system observability and dependency mapping
• Support Change, Incident, and Problem Management with reliable configuration data
• Perform audits, reconciliations, and continuous data quality improvements
• Deliver reporting and insights for impact analysis, compliance, and operations
• Drive enhancements in automation, platform performance, and ITSM processes

Required Experience

• 5+ years in systems engineering, ServiceNow, or ITSM environments
• 3+ years hands-on with ServiceNow CMDB in enterprise/high-security environments
• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and/or Service Mapping
• Strong infrastructure knowledge (Windows, Linux, cloud/virtualization, networking)
• Proven ability to automate workflows and manage multi-source CMDB data
• Understanding of ITIL practices, audit, and compliance standards
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS-CMDB, or similar)
• ITIL certification
• CM2 or configuration management certification
• Experience in financial services or other regulated environments

Compensation

• Phoenix/Chicago: $106K – $130K
• San Francisco: $128K – $156K
