Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze information to support the definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes used in manufacturing and engineering design
- Incorporate changes to specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts, and processes
- Perform tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to ensure they meet established requirements
- Assist with activities to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
- Conduct basic analysis to determine performance or identify reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts, or processes
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Develop basic computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements
- Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
- Incorporate environmental health and safety, LEAN, and quality principles into materials and processes, research, design and qualification, work procedures, and labs and office areas
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of manufacturing and engineering design principles
- Familiarity with qualification processes for tools, equipment, materials, and suppliers
- Understanding of corrective and preventive action methodologies
- Ability to apply LEAN principles and quality management practices
- Knowledge of environmental health and safety standards
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and improve computer and production systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field
