Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of Quality Engineering (QA) to lead enterprise-wide quality assurance initiatives and define the organization's testing strategy. This leadership role will drive automation-first testing practices, establish enterprise QA governance, and collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading enterprise QA organizations, designing scalable automation frameworks, implementing AI-driven quality initiatives, and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute enterprise-wide QA strategy, governance, and testing standards.
- Lead multiple QA teams across complex enterprise programs.
- Build and scale automation frameworks using Cypress, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Drive API, UI, regression, integration, performance, and non-functional testing strategies.
- Integrate automated testing into modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to establish quality objectives and release readiness.
- Develop quality metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting.
- Lead defect management, risk assessment, and release planning activities.
- Mentor QA engineers and foster an automation-first engineering culture.
- Champion AI-driven QA transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure successful delivery of enterprise software releases with high quality and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of Quality Assurance and Software Testing experience.
- 5+ years leading enterprise QA organizations or large testing teams.
- Strong experience building enterprise QA strategies and governance models.
- Expertise in Cypress, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Extensive experience with automation framework development.
- Strong experience in API, UI, Microservices, and Performance Testing.
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Agile, SAFe, Shift-Left, and Continuous Testing methodologies.
- Proven leadership in stakeholder management, executive communication, and organizational transformation.
- Strong background in Retail or eCommerce environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing AI-driven testing solutions or GenAI-based QA initiatives.
- Experience with Karate Framework for API Testing.
- Mobile Automation Testing experience.
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with modern observability and monitoring platforms.
