Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Snowflake Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data warehouse and analytics solutions on Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, data modeling, ETL/ELT development, cloud platforms, and performance tuning. This role will lead data engineering initiatives and collaborate with business, analytics, and technology teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
- Lead Snowflake architecture, development, and administration activities.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, SQL, and cloud-native technologies.
- Build data ingestion frameworks from various structured and unstructured data sources.
- Design and implement data models, schemas, and data marts.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and compute utilization.
- Implement security, governance, access controls, and data masking policies.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and BI teams.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and production issues.
- Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD and automation.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Expertise in SQL, Stored Procedures, and Query Optimization.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Matillion, Talend, DBT, or Azure Data Factory.
- Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and Dimensional Modeling.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Hands-on experience with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Snowpark.
- Knowledge of Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Preferred Skills
- SnowPro Certification.
- Experience with Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with Kafka or real-time streaming platforms.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
