Duck Creek Architect

We are hiring a Duck Creek Architect to join our client remotely!

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end Duck Creek solutions across Policy modules
• Design system integrations between Duck Creek and upstream/downstream platforms (APIs, services, third-party systems)
• Develop scalable application architectures supporting performance, configurability, and long-term growth
• Establish and enforce design standards and best practices across Duck Creek implementations
• Architect data models, product configurations, and transaction flows
• Define technical roadmaps and solution strategies aligned with business objectives
• Design cloud-based Duck Creek deployments (OnDemand, SaaS, or hybrid environments)
• Create detailed technical designs and specifications for development teams
• Architect security, authorization, and role-based access models
• Lead integration architecture using APIs, web services, and service-oriented design patterns
• Ensure solutions align with regulatory and compliance requirements
• Define strategies for performance, scalability, and system resiliency
• Lead platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams
• Collaborate with product owners, SMEs, and stakeholders to deliver business-aligned solutions

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture roles
• Strong expertise in Duck Creek (Policy)
• Hands-on ability to translate business requirements into technical designs
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
