Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Java Enterprise Edition (JEE), XML technologies, XSLT, and Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developing XML-based documents, data transformations, system-generated notices, forms, and application outputs.

The consultant will work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain application components, implement database solutions, perform testing, and troubleshoot XML document generation and data processing issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant software development experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Java Enterprise Edition (JEE).
  • Strong proficiency in Java, XML, XSD, XSLT, and XSL-FO.
  • Experience developing and maintaining XML/XSL-based content for notices, forms, document generation, and data transformations.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle databases, SQL scripting, complex queries, and stored procedures.
  • Knowledge of relational database design and data modeling.
  • Experience with Altova XMLSpy, StyleVision, and Apache FOP.
  • Experience with Oracle Utilities or related enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency in Eclipse IDE and version control systems.
  • Experience with UML modeling and XML configuration as part of solution design.
  • Ability to perform unit testing, participate in peer code reviews, and troubleshoot application issues.
  • Strong understanding of code quality, performance optimization, and application maintainability.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and data structures.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Curam applications or the Curam platform.
  • Experience with XML document rendering pipelines and automated document generation.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications involving complex data transformations and reporting.

Work Location and Interview Requirements:

  • Candidates must be able to work onsite in Raleigh, NC, 3 days per week.
    An in-person interview is mandatory.
    Candidates must be local to Raleigh, NC, or willing to relocate.
