Product Engineer / Mfg. Technician

As a Product Engineer, you will support production programs on the manufacturing floor. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will provide engineering support to specific product lines and provide technical guidance to manufacturing and assembly personnel, or others in need of your product knowledge.

The Product Engineer gets direction from more experienced manufacturing team members when needed to support assembly operations but will work independently as well.

The Product Engineer supports all phases of the product life cycle including development, production release, and mature products already well established.

As a Product Engineer / Mfg. Technician, you will...
  • Provide clear production manufacturing and assembly instructions to operations personnel to maintain efficient production. These instructions include formal work instructions, assembly sheets, setup sheet, MPPs, and engineering memos
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of equipment to meet production requirements for operations department
  • Assure and maintaining product integrity
  • Track and improve key company and department metrics
  • Provide direction and resolve issues via emails or other processes
  • Support weekly technical conversations with the customer related to design / manufacturing changes and improvements
  • Travel to vendors to explore new equipment
  • Travel to customers to discuss NPI opportunities
  • Product Engineers must periodically work additional hours to support program goals and product demand

To be considered for the Product Engineer position, typically you will need...
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering is preferred or equivalent experience of 5 years in a high-tech manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a machining environment with direct exposure to complex assemblies
  • Hands-on experience with technical design elements, CAD, or direct CNC machining experience is a plus
  • A Bachelor of Technology Degree in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant technical experience will also be accepted
