Position Summary:
- Client is seeking a Senior Automation Test Lead to modernize and mature automated testing capabilities supporting a mission-critical Microsoft Dynamics CRM environment.
- The successful candidate will help transition the program from a predominantly manual testing model to a scalable hybrid testing approach by implementing automated testing, expanding regression coverage, improving release confidence, and providing technical leadership within the testing function.
Role & Responsibilities: Test Automation Leadership:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Playwright or Selenium.
- Identify and prioritize critical business workflows for automation.
- Develop reusable regression test suites.
- Improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.
- Establish repeatable automated testing processes.
Testing Strategy and Maturity:
- Support and continuously improve the program's testing approach.
- Improve testing maturity and release confidence.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and test results documentation.
- Help establish testing best practices and quality standards.
Quality Assurance:
- Execute and oversee:
- Functional testing
- Integration testing
- Regression testing
- User Acceptance Testing support
- Support defect identification, root cause analysis, and validation activities.
DevOps and Release Support:
- Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD workflows.
- Support pre-deployment and post-deployment validation activities.
- Improve software quality and release readiness.
Collaboration and Technical Leadership:
- Partner with developers, SMEs, and program leadership.
- Mentor existing testing personnel.
- Recommend improvements that increase quality, efficiency, and testing effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Experience with Playwright or Selenium.
- Experience automating functional and regression testing.
- Experience with C# or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Experience implementing automation within a predominantly manual testing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with developers, testers, SMEs, and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics CRM environments.
- Experience supporting Federal Government programs.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Experience mentoring or leading testing teams.
- Familiarity with accessibility (Section 508) testing.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
