The team is looking for someone who can combine hands-on data engineering depth with solutioning, technical leadership, and stakeholder partnership. It''''''''''''''''s important that the person in this role has supported their own projects before and understands the impact on the business.

Responsibilities include:

- Designing and guiding data engineering solutions using Databricks, PySpark, and modern data architecture best practices
- Helping shape ingestion, transformation, and modeling approaches across source systems, including complex XML and JSON feeds
- Applying medallion architecture concepts across bronze, silver, and gold layers
- Building and modeling data for downstream analytics, reporting, and business use cases
- Partnering with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical plans
- Providing technical guidance to junior data engineers, reviewing proposed solutions, and helping course-correct when needed
- Supporting multiple projects at once and stepping in hands-on when needed to unblock the team

Strong fits will usually have Databricks, PySpark, data modeling, medallion/lake house architecture, XML/JSON ingestion, and experience guiding technical direction for a team or project. Power BI, Azure ML, insurance, or complex enterprise data ecosystem experience would be a plus.
