Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ABAP Developer with deep, hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA and Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP). In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and enhancing custom solutions that optimize order fulfillment and supply chain processes. You will work closely with functional consultants to translate complex business requirements, particularly within the Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle, into scalable technical solutions .
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust SAP ABAP solutions within S/4HANA environments, focusing on extensions and customizations for the aATP module .
aATP Enhancement: Develop and enhance aATP functionalities to support critical business processes, including Product Availability Check (PAC), Product Allocation (PAL), Supply Protection, Back-Order Processing (BOP/iBOP), and Alternative-Based Confirmation (ABC) .
Technical Architecture: Build and optimize custom programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows. Leverage modern development paradigms to ensure high performance and scalability .
Integration: Support the technical design and integration of aATP with core logistics modules, primarily Sales & Distribution (SD), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP) .
Collaboration & Leadership: Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and collaborate closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery. Translate functional specs into technical designs and vice-versa .
Performance & Troubleshooting: Perform debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting across the S/4HANA and aATP landscape to resolve complex issues and optimize system performance .
Required Technical Skills & Experience:
Core ABAP: 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, with at least 3+ years in S/4HANA projects .
S/4HANA Expertise: Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and modern ABAP techniques, including ABAP Objects (OO ABAP), Core Data Services (CDS) Views, and AMDP .
aATP Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with aATP-related custom developments, including understanding of key features like Alternative Determination (utilizing BAdI BADI_ATP_ABC_ALTV_DETMNR) and Product Allocation .
Enhancement Frameworks: Expertise in using Business Add-Ins (BAdIs), User Exits, and Enhancements to customize standard SAP behavior without modification .
Interfaces & APIs: Experience with integration patterns including BAPI/RFC, IDocs, OData services, and REST APIs .
Modern Development (Preferred): Familiarity with the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is highly desirable .
Functional Knowledge: Strong functional understanding of SAP SD and the Order-to-Cash (OTC) process is critical for translating business needs into technical solutions .
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP Fiori backend development and UI5 integration.
Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or transformation projects .
Relevant SAP certifications in ABAP, S/4HANA, or aATP.
Knowledge of supply chain concepts, including integration with PP/DS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) and MRP .
