Job Description
Analyze and evaluate technical systems and development processes.
Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including design, engineering, configuration, test-planning/development, test-execution analysis, and performance optimization.
Assist the Sponsor with establishing and executing processes and procedures for managing system definition, development, and operations.
Expand or modify the Sponsor's systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
Assist the Sponsor with establishing standards in systems engineering.
Interface with Government engineering labs and contractors on customer projects, ensuring data conditioning and data schemas are consistent for ingest.
Perform strategic planning for system and technology evolution for specified Sponsor activities.
Participate with the other Sponsor partner organizations to provide input on strategic plans and architecture framework.
Participate in Engineering Review Boards or other technical forums.
Design, optimize, administer, and manage private and hybrid cloud environments.
Provide emerging cloud technology solutions including server virtualization, network virtualization, virtual network appliances, and cloud-management systems.
Implement a data management system in a cloud environment.
Advise and provide ways for the Sponsor to effectively use Sponsor and commercial cloud computing services.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field or 10+ years of real-world systems engineering experience
Deep hands-on experience with [Linux], [Windows], [Active Directory], [LDAP], [SSH], [CLI], and Remote Access Tools
Proven expertise designing [Virtualized & Software-Defined Infrastructure] with clean separation across dev / test / ops
Strong background in [Cloud Architecture & Integration] (AWS & Sponsor cloud services)
Experience architecting and deploying [Physical, Virtual, and Cloud-Based Solutions]
Ability to design [End-to-End Network Data Flow Architectures] and scalable [Data Management Systems]
Hands-on leadership in [Data Center Architecture], consolidation, optimization, and [Private & Hybrid Cloud Environments]
Experience with [Virtualization Appliances & Network Storage] (e.g., Synergy, NetApp)
Real-world experience in [Virtualized Platforms] such as Proxmox and AWS
Skilled in producing [Program-Level & User-Level Documentation] that people actually use
Solid understanding of [FTP, SFTP, TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS]
Strong knowledge of [Network Topology, Protocols, and Debugging] across Linux and Windows
Ability to collaborate closely with [ISSMs & Security Teams] to deliver secure solutions
Team player with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills
Desired skills
Demonstrated understanding of Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies such as ICD503 to ensure system security and data integrity
Demonstrated experience deploying the complete DevOps lifecycle including integration of build pipelines, automated deployments, and compliance scanning using test drive development
Demonstrated experience performing Network Address Translation (NAT) functions to shield external IP space from internal IP space
Demonstrated experience with network engineering concepts (SD, TCP/IP, packet/frame architecture, IPv4/IPv6, tunneling protocols, VXLAN) and routing protocols
Demonstrated experience managing network security, including security documentation, and network diagrams
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with customers DEVOPS tools such as GITHUB.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience working with PKI certificates, encryption protocols, SSL/TLS.
Demonstrated experience designing, configuring and installing information systems that include routers, servers, switches, storage systems, and laptops.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows based domains
Demonstrated on-the-job experience using Agile methodologies and participation on an Agile software or systems engineering team.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with data encryption within a secure environment.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $145,200 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
