Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a DevOps Engineer (IT Infrastructure) on behalf of our client in New York City, NY. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, cloud platforms, virtualization, and system administration, with the ability to collaborate across development and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Wintel-based physical and virtual server infrastructure

• Monitor system performance and optimize server and storage utilization

• Manage and support cloud environments and containerized platforms (Kubernetes)

• Ensure adherence to change management processes and best practices

• Maintain and test disaster recovery (DR) plans and documentation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy applications and resolve technical issues

• Develop architecture diagrams and infrastructure documentation

• Implement monitoring tools and alerts to ensure high availability and system uptime

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, network, and application-related issues

• Work with vendors and internal teams for incident resolution and escalation

• Provide support for production systems, including off-hours when required

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration or DevOps engineering

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)

• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware and others)

• Experience managing high-availability and enterprise infrastructure environments

• Proficiency in Windows Server (2019/2022) and Linux/Unix systems

• Experience with Kubernetes platforms (AKS, ARO)

• Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SFTP)

• Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools

• Experience with security tools, authentication systems, and access management

Preferred Qualifications

• DevOps certification in Azure and/or AWS

• Experience with enterprise storage systems and infrastructure planning

• Familiarity with ITIL processes or incident management frameworks

• Experience creating technical diagrams using tools such as MS Visio
