About the Role
This position supports an active Navy test site with extensive ongoing electrical work. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead reviews of electrical products and systems, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and provide technical oversight across power distribution, equipment evaluations, and field installations.
Key Responsibilities
Review, evaluate, and verify electrical products, components, and system designs for compliance and performance.
Oversee electrical cabinet design, layout, and integration with facility and test-site systems.
Perform and review power distribution design, load analysis, and protective device coordination.
Develop and validate cable routing plans, cable tray sizing, and voltage drop calculations.
Ensure all designs and installations meet NEC and applicable electrical codes.
Support field walkdowns, inspections, and troubleshooting activities.
Prepare technical documentation, design packages, and engineering review reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support test-site operations and upgrades.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in power distribution systems, electrical cabinets, cable routing, and cable tray design.
Demonstrated experience performing voltage drop calculations and applying NEC codes.
Ability to review, assess, and validate electrical products and equipment.
Active security clearance (required).
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred but not required).
Experience supporting military, government, or high-security test environments.
Familiarity with industrial or test-site electrical systems and high-demand operational environments.
