AI Operations Lead The AI Operations Lead is responsible for translating AI strategy into operational excellence across the organization. This leader partners with VP, Edge AI to scale AI initiatives, drive best-in-class program execution, and ensure the delivery of measurable business impact. The role blends technical fluency with business acumen to orchestrate cross-functional alignment, optimize resource allocation, and embed operational rigor into every phase of the AI lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary operational leader for AI programs, ensuring seamless end-to-end execution-from project intake to deployment and post-launch optimization.
- Partner with stakeholders to operationalize AI roadmaps and strategic priorities. (Note: this is not a project management role, but will require frequent alignment with our PM office.)
- Develop and implement scalable processes, frameworks, and governance to accelerate AI solution delivery while managing risk and compliance.
- Drive cross-functional program management, including project reviews, milestone tracking, and executive reporting.
- Optimize resource planning and allocation to support high-priority AI initiatives and maximize value delivery.
- Translate technical AI milestones into business-relevant metrics and dashboards for leadership visibility.
- Identify and address operational bottlenecks, proactively removing barriers to accelerate AI innovation.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence across AI teams.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in AI operations, incorporating learnings to improve internal processes.
- Assist with presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate AI strategies, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Assist with communications, working with internal and external comms teams and agencies.
Qualifications: - Proven experience in an operational leadership or program management role within AI, data science, or technology-driven environments.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts (hands-on expertise not required, but technical fluency is essential). Candidate is likely to have a technical background and might have pivoted into operations-related roles.
- Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and business priorities with executive presence.
- Track record of driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy to execution.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience building scalable systems, processes, and metrics for program delivery.
- Ability to use modern GenAI tools, like Copilot365, with a high degree of autonomy and efficacy. Candidate has likely made their own agents before.
- Proficiency in presentation tools and visual executive communications to the ELT and board level: Experience with tools like PowerPoint, Keynote, or similar to create and deliver impactful presentations.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $230,000 to $316,250.
