Lunar Outpost is dedicated to creating a permanent presence in space, while also driving positive impacts here on Earth. We are currently seeking a Senior Test Integration Engineer to contribute to our mission in a dynamic startup environment. As a Senior Test Integration Engineer, you will focus on prototype integration, development testing, and vehicle-level test campaigns, with direct involvement in both early-stage hardware and flight hardware qualification. You'll play a key role in the build-test-learn cycle, helping rapidly mature designs into flight-ready systems.

Take the #NextLeap with Lunar Outpost and work on the Pegasus LTV, which will carry NASA astronauts farther than they've ever been before on the lunar surface!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate and test prototype subsystems and full vehicle assemblies
  • Plan and execute development test campaigns to evaluate performance and inform design iterations
  • Support flight hardware verification and qualification testing
  • Set up and operate test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware and system issues, driving root cause analysis and resolution
  • Conduct vehicle-level environmental and performance testing (e.g., thermal, vibration, mobility)
  • Develop and maintain test procedures, plans, and reports
  • Design and build test fixtures and integration setups
  • Analyze test data and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams
  • Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and systems engineering to ensure test readiness

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • 4-8 years of experience in test, integration, or prototype development environments
  • Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems, vehicles, or robotics
  • Experience executing development and validation testing
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues
  • Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition systems
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, iterative development environments
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • U.S. Person

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with prototype vehicle or robotic system development
  • Background in flight hardware testing or qualification
  • Familiarity with vehicle-level environmental testing (thermal, vibration, dust)
  • Experience with HIL/SIL testing or embedded systems
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar tools

Compensation & Benefits: Compensation level and base salary are competitively structured and thoughtfully determined based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, and the scope of the role.
  • Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental, and vision benefits, with 70% of premiums covered by the employer
  • Paid time off: Three (3) weeks per year of vacation
  • Retirement plan: Up to 4% employer match on 401(k) contributions
  • Paid holidays: 11 company-recognized holidays
  • Parental leave
  • Educational reimbursement opportunities to support company objectives, continued learning, and career development
