AS400 with MAPICS - Only in India

We are seeking an experienced AS400 / IBM i Developer with strong MAPICS (ERP) experience to support and enhance enterprise manufacturing and distribution systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IBM i application development, strong business understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes, and hands-on experience working with MAPICS ERP.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support applications on AS400 / IBM i platform

• Develop and enhance programs using RPG, RPGLE, Free-Format RPG, CL, and SQLRPGLE

• Provide functional and technical support for MAPICS ERP modules (Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchasing, Finance)

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Perform system integration, enhancements, and customization within MAPICS

• Optimize existing programs for performance, reliability, and scalability

• Support batch jobs, job scheduling, and system monitoring

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions

• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and cross-functional teams

• Prepare technical documentation and follow SDLC best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in AS400 / IBM i development

• Strong hands-on experience with MAPICS ERP

• Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, Free RPG, CL, SQL

• Experience with DB2/400 database and query optimization

• Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, and inventory processes

• Experience with batch processing and job scheduling

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and documentation skills
