Position OverviewOur client is seeking Desktop Deployment Technicians to support the opening of a new ambulatory healthcare facility scheduled to go live in November. This team will play a critical role in ensuring all endpoint devices, workstations, and supporting technologies are fully deployed, tested, and operational prior to the facility opening.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with desktop deployments, Windows imaging, hardware installation, and end-user support. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, interacting directly with healthcare staff, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the deployment process.
Key Responsibilities- Unbox, stage, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other endpoint devices.
- Image and configure devices within a Windows 11 environment, ensuring systems are deployment-ready.
- Set up complete workstation configurations, including monitors, docking stations, peripherals, and cable management.
- Install, test, and validate hardware to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues during deployment activities and provide break/fix support when needed.
- Support hardware refresh and technology migration initiatives.
- Maintain and update inventory records, asset tracking systems, and deployment documentation.
- Verify equipment assignments and ensure accurate asset management throughout the project.
- Work directly with healthcare staff and end users to ensure successful workstation setup and readiness.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to appropriate support teams.
- Assist with go-live activities and provide post-deployment support as required.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when working within a healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications- 1-3 years of desktop support, deployment, field service, or related IT experience.
- Experience imaging and deploying Windows 11 devices.
- Strong knowledge of desktop hardware installation, workstation setup, and device configuration.
- Experience troubleshooting desktop, laptop, peripheral, and software issues.
- Familiarity with asset management and inventory tracking processes.
- Experience supporting end users in a professional business or healthcare environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deployment environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous experience supporting healthcare organizations, hospitals, or ambulatory care facilities.
- Experience with large-scale deployment, migration, or hardware refresh projects.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management processes.
- Experience supporting both Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
- Knowledge of deployment best practices and endpoint lifecycle management.
