Job Summary: The Preventative Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of production equipment and plant systems through routine and preventative maintenance procedures. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including production equipment and plant utilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control circuits, and equipment, including three-phase motors and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Calibrate and maintain pneumatic systems and other mechanical components to ensure peak performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and scheduled procedures.
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes.
- Adhere to safety standards, including NFPA 70E, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
- Solid understanding of relay logic, PLCs, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards and ability to apply them in the workplace.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
