Electrical Technician (Temporary)Location: South Bend, IN
Salary: $74,880 | Multiple Shifts Available (2nd, 3rd)
We are hiring a skilled
Electrical Technician for a temporary role supporting industrial maintenance and production operations. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in
industrial electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, HMIs, and drives
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and prints
- Use testing equipment (multimeters, etc.) to verify system performance
- Document work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Collaborate with production teams and external contractors to ensure uptime
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, control wiring, and AC/DC drives
- Ability to read electrical drawings and understand NEC standards
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools and Windows-based systems
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts
Preferred
- Associate degree in Electrical or Industrial Technology, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience
Shifts Available
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
