Position Overview
The Medical Bill Review Product Owner is responsible for managing and enhancing medical bill review solutions. This position blends product ownership, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to drive improvements in product performance, operational efficiency, and client outcomes. Ideal candidates bring experience in healthcare consulting, product development, or strategic advisory roles.


Key Responsibilities


Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution

Support development and execution of the product roadmap for medical bill review, routing, and related capabilities.
Translate market needs, operational insight, and client feedback into clear product requirements and user stories.
Prioritize product enhancements based on business impact, client value, and feasibility Platform & Feature Development
Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to implement product features, workflow improvements, and rule logic updates.
Work closely with analytics teams to support scheduled updates to datasets and benchmarking tools.
Ensure product enhancements align with compliance needs, client requirements, and operational workflows.

Product Performance Oversight
Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly assessments of product performance across clients.
Partner with analytics to build dashboards, reporting frameworks, and KPIs to measure savings, turnaround times, utilization, and dispute results.
Support performance analysis, including before-and-after comparisons and retrospective evaluations.

Client Deliverables & Feedback Loop
Coordinate with the Analytics team to prepare monthly and quarterly client deliverables, including reports and insights.
Participate in client discussions to gather feedback, answer product-related questions, and identify improvement opportunities.
Incorporate client feedback into product planning and enhancement cycles.

Vendor & Partner Management
Coordinate with Network management to ensure
- Adherence to requirements and SLAs
- Monitor vendor performance across penetration rates, accuracy, and turnaround times.
- Identify performance issues and collaborate on corrective action when needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with operations, engineering, analytics, QA, and client-facing teams to ensure alignment on requirements and releases.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Maintain clear documentation of requirements, workflows, updates, and training materials.

Sales & Marketing Support
Assist marketing with the development and maintenance of product collateral.
Provide product expertise to sales teams during prospect discussions and RFP processes.

Market & Competitive Intelligence
Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive developments.
Recommend enhancements or new capabilities based on market needs and insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree required; background in healthcare, business, analytics, or related areas preferred.
    10+ years of experience in product management, healthcare consulting, or strategic advisory roles.
    Knowledge of medical claims, reimbursement methodologies, and cost-containment processes.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data for decision-making.
    Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
    Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.
