Summary

Overview

The Senior NET Blazor is responsible for building secure, high-quality application features within the VA-EISS platform using Microsoft technologies, including C#, .NET, and Blazor for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Services (PDS), Benefits and Memorials (BAM), Memorial and Benefit Services (MBS) deliver secure, reliable, and effective Information Technology (IT) solutions that support the Department's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures daily code delivery, supports integration with GIS, enterprise APIs, and legacy modernization efforts, and contributes to Agile execution, testing, remediation, and production readiness
  • Develop secure, high-quality C#, .NET, and Blazor features for VA-
  • Commit and push code daily to VA source control repositories.
  • Implement unit, functional, and automated tests following VA SDLC, CI/CD, and DevSecOps standards. (Supported by Agile/DevSecOps expectations.)
  • Integrate application components with GIS/geospatial capabilities, APIs, and legacy system modernization pathways
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), peer reviews, Sprint execution, and backlog refinement
  • Remediate defects, including production-originating defects, in collaboration with the Scrum Team and System Teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Security, Section 508, VA SDLC standards, and DevSecOps maturity expectations.
  • Support vulnerability mitigation, code coverage validation, and traceability from requirements to test results.
  • Participate in Sprint Reviews, Solution Demonstrations, and PI planning, contributing technical insights and alignment to strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or IT related degree with 7-10 years' experience
  • Experience with C#, .NET, Blazor, REST APIs, SQL, secure coding, unit/integration testing, Git, CI/CD
  • Experience developing secure, scalable enterprise systems within highly regulated environments (e.g., federal, healthcare).
  • Experience committing code daily and working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
  • Experience integrating applications with GIS, REST APIs, cloud services, and legacy modernization.
  • Public Trust

Preferred:

  • Experience with EISS; GIS integration; AWS/cloud; government DevSecOps
